The timing of the happy announcement today certainly raised a few eyebrows.

Princess Beatrice revealed that she is expecting a baby with her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.

The Duchess of York’s pregnancy reveal could be seen as a ‘two fingers’ to Harry and Meghan according to a royal expert.

She announced the news on the same day as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s third wedding anniversary.

Duncan Larcombe is a royal author and expert, and he believes the fact the news was released today of all days was no coincidence.

He told Fabulous magazine: “The fact it was Buckingham Palace that made the announcement proves this was not a simple oversight.

“A great deal of care is taken over the timings of major announcements such as Royal pregnancies, and it is extremely unlikely diary staff were unaware of the significance of the day for Harry and Meghan.

“You have a relatively large window of opportunity to announce a pregnancy, an anniversary date is set in stone.”

Change Of Priorities

He continued to say that the Palace’s decision to reveal Beatrice’s happy news today is a very clear sign that Harry and Meghan are low down the list when it comes to royal proceedings.

Larcombe even says the decision could be seen as “two fingers up at the Duke and Duchess of Sussex”.

However, it could also well be revenge.

Meghan stole the thunder of Eugenie, Beatrice’s sister.

At her wedding in October 2018 to Jack Brooksbank, Meghan revealed she was pregnant.

Way to take the attention back on behalf of her sister.

Buckingham Palace has announced the happy couple are expecting a baby in the autumn.

The palace said: “Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrice and Mr Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very pleased to announce that they are expecting a baby in autumn of this year.

“The Queen has been informed and both families are delighted with the news.”

It’s been said that the Queen is thrilled with the news, and has provided some much needed happiness following the death of the Duke Of Edinburgh.

Beatrice’s baby will be the Queen’s 12th great-grandchild, once Harry and Meghan’s daughter arrives in the summer.

Meanwhile, Meghan and baby Archie made an appearance in the new trailer for Harry’s mental health series with Apple TV.

Meghan appears on screen wearing a “raising the future” t-shirt. It was created by British brand Mere Soeur, and it costs only £27.

Harry has been criticised for continuing to share so much personal information. He gave a great deal of personal detail in the Oprah interview and also appearing on a new podcast.

Congratulations, Beatrice.
