Considering I take so much pride in my hair, I really do hate going to the barbers.

A therapist would tell me that it’s because I once went and the guy proceeded to shave all my gorgeous locks off before I could say anything.

I’ve got a dangerously small head, but I never realised how truly pip-sized it was.

I wore a hat for weeks after and now I only go when I absolutely have to.

Clearly, I’m not the only one who’s had a nightmare at the barbers, as one man in China recently had the misfortune of having triangles shaved into the side of his head.

The man in question apparently went into his appointment with a clear idea of what he wanted, even taking a video of the exact style to show to the barber.

We’ve all done it, haven’t we? I’ve taken several pictures of David Beckham into a hair salon before and come out looking nothing like him.

I should have demanded a refund.

Anyway, this video proved to be the man’s undoing, because instead of taking a screenshot of the video or just letting it play out, he paused it which instead brought up the huge ‘play’ symbol across his screen.

The barber seemingly thought that was part of the look and decided to shave two into each side of the man’s head.

The incident was posted by an entertainment blogger, ‘Tian Xiu Bot’, on China’s Twitter-like platform Weibo and now it’s just going viral.

To be fair to the barber, he did allegedly ask the customer if he wanted to keep the triangles, but he didn’t realise what he was on about and just said “yes.”

The person who uploaded the post joked:

‘There are not so many rigorous hairdressers like this left.

Now, in the aftermath of such hardship you can do one of two things: hide away for the next few weeks lamenting the barber’s handiwork, or own it and act like it was intended.

The man in question evidently chose the latter, as he was filmed – in footage shared by the same blogger – strutting across the room looking rather pleased with himself.

I mean, of course it’s objectively a bad haircut, but so are loads these days.

I’m still trying to grow out the blonde tips I got when I was travelling a while back.

My hair-style history is nothing short of appalling…
