2018 has been a pretty unforgettable year for Netflix.
They’ve pumped out gripping original series and films at an alarming rate this year, and I don’t want to give too much away but Black Mirror: Bandersnatch had it spot on when it alluded to Netflix’s growing power in poor ol’ Stefan Butler’s unravelling life.
But it’s another of their originals, Bird Box, which has proven to be its biggest hit.
The Sandra Bullock led psychological horror has been described by many as the most frightening film you could ever watch, and in the process has inspired some glorious memes.
All jokes (and memes) aside though, the original Netflix movie has broken all records on the platform in its first seven days of streaming, with more than 45 million watching the horror show.
In a tweet, Netflix boasted that this is the “best first 7 days ever for a Netflix film.”
Here’s how people reacted to the news:

In case you don’t know, the film is set in a post-apocalyptic world in which you have to wear a blindfold at all times to avoid meeting you maker in a very nasty fashion.
We follow Bullock as she tries to navigate her family to safety and to be honest it’s all very creepy.
If Stephen King rates it, you know it’s worth a watch.
Bird Box is on available to watch on Netflix right NOW.
Trust me, you don’t want to miss it.
