Busy Philipps has opened up about her former “Freaks And Geeks” co-star James Franco who she writes was a “f***ing bully.”

In her upcoming memoir, “This Will Only Hurt a Little”, the 39 year-old actress details an incident where Franco allegedly pushed her to the ground during a rehearsal.

According to an excerpt first obtained by Radar Online, Busy explains that her character Kim Kelly, who was Franco’s on-again-off-again girlfriend on the teen show, was required to ‘gently hit’ James’ character on the chest as she delivered a line.

The actor allegedly grew angry at her and broke character by assaulting her, she recalls in an excerpt verified by Yahoo Entertainment and The Hollywood Reporter.

Philipps said he:

“grabbed both my arms and screamed in my face, ‘DON’T EVER TOUCH ME AGAIN!’And he threw me to the ground. Flat on my back. Wind knocked out of me.”

After the initial altercation, Philipps says they did one more take before running off to co-star Linda Cardellini’s trailer where she “sobbed” as she recounted the story to Cardellini who advised her to call her manager.

Philipps says Franco apologised the next day, although she believes his remorse was forced by the show’s producers and director. She adds that writer Judd Apatow and creator Paul Feig weren’t on set at the time and that Franco never faced any consequences for his actions.

She wrote in her book, which was obtained by Page Six, that “James was full of bad behaviour, so why would this be treated any differently.”

The allegation against Franco comes less than a year after five women accused Franco of sexual misconduct.

Philipps has previously mentioned the assault in 2016 on “Watch What Happens Live.”

“We’re friends now and we really like each other now as adults, but as kids we did not get along,” she said.

Franco and his representatives are yet to comment on the incident.
