I’ll admit it: until this summer I’d never seen an episode of ‘Love Island’.

But recently that all changed when I moved into a new flat when – in an attempt to ingratiate myself into the dwelling, combined with a little peer pressure – I finally succumbed to ITV2’s strangely addictive nature documentary/social experiment about having it off on holiday.

Dr. Alex exuding the exact opposite of BDE (Big D*ck Energy) Georgia ‘Loyal’ Steele’s continuous whiny droning and Josh and Wes’ budding holiday bromance: yep, Love Island series 4 had it all, but the greatest and most precious gift it gave was allowing us to see the nation’s sweethearts, Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer’s heart-melting relationship blossom right on screen.

The two can currently be seen on Instagram rubbing everyone’s faces in their new found love and riches, but as a special-one off, Dani will be making a TV appearance on Channel 4’s Gogglebox this Friday.

But instead of portly beau Jack joining her, the other special man in her life, Eastenders star and real-life dad Danny Dyer will be cosying up on the couch next to her.

Announcing their appearance, Dani Dyer wrote on Instagram:

I absolutely love Gogglebox and couldn’t be more excited to be on it with my dad. What an experience it was!”

The special is being filmed to raise money for Stand Up To Cancer and will be shot in Danny’s Essex home.

He also shared the same photo as above, writing:

“Me and my beautiful little soul mate @danidyerxx will be on goggle box this Friday night talking a bit of b*llockyness in aid of stand up to cancer.

We all need to come together and raise some serious reddies to try and combat this nasty evil thing that takes far 2 many lives.”

Footballer, giant, and Twitter legend Peter Crouch and his girlfriend Abbey Clancy will also be appearing.

Speaking to The Sun about her appearance on Gogglebox, Dani said:

“I’m just hoping we don’t have to watch any of the antiques programmes he’s always watching.

“But I guess as it’s for Stand Up To Cancer, which is such an amazing cause, I can let it slide.”

Danny added:

“Dani and I had such a laugh filming Gogglebox and hope we can raise bucket-loads of money for Stand Up To Cancer, as it’s such a wonderful cause.

“Cancer is affecting too many of us and we need to pull together and put a stop to it.”

I’ll be tuning in just to hear Danny Dyer *hopefully* sound off about cancer.

‘Oi, cancer, you f*cking map-pet, do one will ya, ya doin’ me nat in”.

It’s gonna be propa nawty, alright.
