The award-winning actor Elliot Page looks happier and healthier than ever in the new Instagram post.

Page shared a poolside picture of his latest milestone in his transition.

He was making the most of the great weather in the candid photo and captioned it: “Trans bb’s first swim trunks.”

The 34-year-old Juno and Umbrella Academy star also added the hashtags #transjoy and #transisbeautiful.

Unsurprisingly, fans reacted with joy over how happy and confident Page looks.

It’s already had more than 2 million likes, and the comment section is flooded with positivity and support.

However one fan posted a gentle reminder that all trans bodies are beautiful and valid on Twitter.

They said Elliot Page is “not a standard to set”.

They wrote: “If you’re a trans man with another body shape, you’re just as trans as he is, and just as much a man as any cis man.”

Earlier this year he talked about undergoing “life-changing” and “life-saving” top surgery.

Top-surgery is a surgical procedure to remove breast tissue.

Elliot came out as trans last year, posting on social media to announce his new name and pronouns.

He wrote: “I love that I am trans, and I love that I am queer. And the more I hold myself close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive.”

Elliot sat down for an interview with Oprah Winfrey last month.

Page said he decided to publicly discuss his surgery to highlight how crucial access to trans health care can be.

“There is such an attack on trans health care right now, when already there is such a lack of access for trans people who don’t even want to go to the doctor,” he said.

He also talked about the things that have made him happiest since transitioning.

“Getting out of the shower and the towel’s around your waist and you’re looking at yourself in the mirror and you’re just like, ‘There I am.’ And I’m not having the moment where I’m panicked,” he said tearfully.

“It’s being able to touch my chest and feel comfortable in my body for the — probably the first time.”

Congrats, Elliot.
