“For eight months, the mysterious Darth Vader has enforced the Emperor’s commands. Fighting between the loss of Padme, and the new cursed life he now leads.”

It’s almost inevitable that someone will comment on this post saying it’s better than The Last Jedi. People are still really cheesed off about that movie.

Anyway, we’re not here to dig up the past, we’re here to talk about this epic fan made Star Wars film. The 16 minute film, posted by the YouTube channel Star Wars Theory, is set in the aftermath of The Revenge of the Sith, and takes a deep dive into the psyche of Darth Vader.

At the outset he is fighting off troopers as he attempts to kill Emperor Palpatine. It turns out to be a dream sequence, but gives us an insight into Anakin’s internal conflict over his wife Padme’s death. We see more of that internal conflict when the Emperor orders him to dispatch a Jedi, and it genuinely it is an entertaining and thought-provoking watch, hats off to all those involved.

For a fan film, it is incredibly well made. For the Star Wars fanatics among you, I’d suggest digging around the other videos on the channel, there’s lots of great content on there.
