As far as Aussies go, Hugh Jackman’s up there with the best of them.

He’s significantly more tolerable than Jason Donovon and Mel Gibson, and right there alongside Chris Hemsworth, Fosters (even though it’s basically English) and Neighbours as the greatest Australian exports.

When he’s not rinsing the life out of Ryan Reynolds’ entire career, he’s masquerading as ol’ knife-hands himself, Wolverine, or Logan if you’re being edgy.

You may not know, however, that he’s been in plenty of other films too, including musicals Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman.

And it’s a good time to be alive if you’re a fan of both, as Hugh has just announced that he’ll be staging his first ever world tour, called The Man. The Music. The Show.

On it, he’ll be performing songs from musicals such as The Greatest Showman and Les Mis, as well as many more numbers from various Broadway musicals and films – all accompanied by a full live orchestra.

Hugh revealed the exciting news on Good Morning America, where he described the experience as “a dream come true”.

While there’s been no mention of Zac Efron or Zendaya making an appearance on stage, co-star Keala Settle, who played the Bearded Lady in The Greatest Showman, will be joining Jackman for performances.

Speaking on Good Morning America, he said:

“I love going to a concert where I feel something happens that night that could only happen that night. I’m just going to have a party.”

The tour will be hitting the UK in May and June 2019 with shows at the Manchester Arena (on 24 May), Birmingham’s Resorts World Arena (27 May) and London’s 02 Arena (3 and 7 June).

Tickets to see Jackman’s show go on sale on Friday 7 December, at 9am, on
