SO MUCH ROOM FOR ACTIVITIES.

By activities I mean a ‘Step Brothers’ sequel, because lets face it, most of us aren’t done with the misadventures of Brennan and Dale and their newfound best-friendship.

As a big Will Ferrell guy (although his recent flicks have been somewhat underwhelming) I think Step Brothers might just be his funniest movie.

It’s been out for 10 years and yet I still quote it to this day, as you can tell from the opening line of this article.

With that in mind you’ll forgive my excitement at Wreck It Ralph star John C. Reilly saying he’s totally committed to filming a sequel and reprising his role as lovable man-child Dale.

Reilly recently told Good Morning America that he was on board to make a follow-upsaying:

“It requires the cooperation of a few other people but I would love to do another one of those. If possible, yeah.”

When he was asked by GMA host Michael Strahan if there was a movie role in his career he would like to revisit, he said: “I know what you’re gonna want me to say, Michael. Step Brothers”, which was met with rapturous applause from the studio audience.

Ferrell and writer-director Adam McKay have even cooked up a rough sketch for a possible Step Brothers 2, but they “got sidetracked with other things.”

Speaking with the New York Daily News, Ferrell said that Step Brothers 2 would’ve been about him and Reilly following their parents (Mary Steenburgen and Richard Jenkins) to a retirement community, where they would try to convince them that they had “earned the right to retire as well.”

The sequel would’ve essentially been about them deciding that they were done being adults and wanted to be seniors.

Sounds like a good idea to me, make it happen!

Adam McKay also recently sat down in an interview with CinemaBlend and spoke about a potential sequel.

He said:

“It is very possible in five years, because I don’t think the Step Brothers idea gets worse the older these guys get. We could all look at each other and go, ‘Alright, let’s go do it.’

“A while ago I said, ‘No way we’re doing it,’ but I thought about it. I was like, ‘Why am I saying that? We definitely could end up doing that.'”

I really feel like there’s only way to end this piece – with the thing I’ve been distracting myself for the last five minutes.

Step Brothers’ best quotes.

God I really hope this sequel happens.

Please let there be a follow up video to Boats N‘ Hoes.
