When you go to a movie like Godzilla you expect two things; lots of destruction and lots of CGI.

Thankfully the makers of Godzilla: King of the Monsters – a direct follow-up to 2014’s Godzilla – look to have rigidly stuck to these two vital rules, as the sequel features some titanic showdowns between some of cinema’s most infamous monsters.

Starring Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown, the new trailer focuses on the impending battle between the good monsters and the bad ones, with the likes of King Ghidorah, the three-headed beast, giant insect Mothra and Rodan, another flying monster squaring off against the titular anti-hero.

Yep, that’s a lot of action, alright.

These films tend to be a bit one dimensional but if you’re after big a** monsters facing off against one another you’ve come to the right place.

Over the summer, director Michael Dougherty spoke about the sequel and promised that there will be “lots more screen-time” for Godzilla the original, in addition to teasing some hidden monsters not revealed in the trailers.

“You have four monsters, you can’t hide four more monsters,” he promised. “Actually, there’s more than four, I forgot. Now that’s a party!”

Could it be Kong? We know there’s a full-on crossover between the two coming in a couple of years.

We’ll have to wait and see.

Talking about her role compared to Eleven in Stranger Things, Millie Bobby Brown told Entertainment Weekly

“It was very different from the Demogorgon.

“Eleven has powers, it’s a lot less terrifying because she can just hopefully kill them. But this was on a much larger scale. I had neck problems because we were always looking up so high. So it was a larger scale, quite literally. The Demogorgon was just a tiny bit taller than me, and Godzilla and all the other monsters are a lot larger.”

Godzilla: King of the Monsters will be released on May 31st, 2019.

See yah there, folks!
