The more you look at Tony Stark’s situation in the Avengers: Endgame trailer, the more harrowing it appears.
The man has space-based PTSD and he just witnessed countless friends and more die, including the one kid that he dragged into all of this, Peter Parker. It’s a miserable existence for Iron Man, who’s run out of food and water, and soon won’t have any oxygen.
There was a lot to take in from that trailer, from Cap’s beard going, to Ant-Man showing up right at the end. However, one thing stuck out to most, and that was the aforementioned Tony Stark being lost in space. Well, I say that, it was probably actually Hawkeye returning as Ronin; that was pretty big.
So it looks like Stark is all out of luck. How’s he going to get out of this one? Some people think Pepper is going to show up in the purple Rescue Armour to save him, others think it will be Captain Marvel… but there’s another choice that seems more realistic (in the real world – one without Thanos… or Tony Stark).
NASA! People all over Twitter were pleading to NASA to help out Earth’s greatest hero, and they actually responded…
People were delighted, obviously…
Save him please! Bring him home 🙏 pic.twitter.com/5DoHFuvrur

And it didn’t go unnoticed by Robert Downy Jr, either, who replied, praising NASA for showing their solidarity with the Avengers.
Wouldn’t it be weirdly subversive if Stark just died when he was stranded in space? I don’t think anyone would see that coming.
They probably shouldn’t end Robert Downy Jr’s eleven year stint like that though. I can’t see it going down all that well. Huge anticlimax.
