Seth Rogen has said he has no plans to work with former co-star James Franco again.

Seth Rogen, 39, has spoken out about James Franco.

Franco and Rogen have starred together in various projects, including Pineapple Express and The Disaster Artist. Now however, Rogen has said he does not have any plans to work with Franco again.

This comes after various allegations have come to light against James Franco.

Sexual Misconduct

In 2019,  a lawsuit was launched against Franco and his partners at his acting school.

Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal allege that Franco and his partners engaged in widespread “inappropriate and sexually charged behaviour towards female students”.

They accuse Franco of “sexualizing [his] power as a teacher and an employer by dangling the opportunity for roles in their projects.”

However, both later agreed to drop their individual claims against Franco.

Other Allegations

This is not the only allegation against Franco, however.

In 2014, it emerged that Franco propositioned a 17-year-old girl on Instagram after meeting her outside a theatre production he had been in.

Franco acknowledged he had indeed tried to pick her up.

Speaking out following the accusations, Franco said: “I’m embarrassed, and I guess I’m just a model of how social media is tricky,”

“It’s a way people meet each other today, but what I’ve learned is you don’t know who’s on the other end. I used bad judgement and I learned my lesson.”

Seth Rogen

Rogen was promoting his new memoir ‘Yearbook’ when he spoke to Sunday Times Culture Magazine.

He said: “What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that.”

Speaking about his friendship with Franco, he said: “I look back to that interview in 2018 where I comment that I would keep working with James, and the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now.”

“I can say it, um, you know, it has changed many things in our relationship and our dynamic”, Rogen said.

Rogen also says he deeply regrets making a joke about Franco back in 2014. On Saturday Night Live, Rogen said: “To make myself feel better I decided to prank James Franco. I posed as a girl on Instagram, told him I was way young. He seemed unfazed. I have a date to meet him at the Ace Hotel…”

The joke in question references the revelation that Franco had been messaging a 17-year-old girl.

Rogen says now that he does “look back at a joke [he] made on Saturday Night Live in 2014 and [he] very much regrets making that joke.”

“It was a terrible joke, honestly.”
