The Avengers: Endgame trailer shook the world and beautiful juxtaposed the colossal failure of YouTube Rewind 2018 which was released at a pretty similar time.

Quite funny, isn’t it?

Anyway, the Avengers: Endgame trailer was pretty great. It raised more questions than it answered – which is a welcome change from other trailers this year – and it presented genuine peril.

Something that Marvel receives criticism for more than most things is its refusal to let tender moments be genuinely tender. They tend to break up scenes with unnecessary laughs (think in Doctor Strange when his cape wiped his tear away after the Ancient One dies).

However, except for the very end, that didn’t happen in this trailer. It was a very dark affair; something that you couldn’t see Deadpool thrive in at all.

With that said though, YouTuber Mightyraccoon! blended the antihero in perfectly, using CGI and a pretty convincing impression of Ryan Reynolds.

Deadpool replaces every character here, and yeah, it works…

The impression is pretty good, to give credit to them. I think whoever actually does the talking only knows how to speak in one particular cadence but if you squint… your ears… then you could be tricked into thinking Ryan Reynolds was reading the lines.

What a film that would be though, sort of like an Into the Spider-Verse style thing and let me tell you, that would be excellent. Into the Spider-Verse is a genuinely brilliant film.

I’d watch it.
