There’s been a lot of speculation and rumour swirling around recently that the cast of ‘The Inbetweeners’ were getting back together for one last swansong.

After a lot of ‘will they, won’t they?’ back and forths, it was, thankfully, announced that the Fab Four would be returning to our screens in the form of a 10th anniversary one-off special.

And that news seems to have been all but confirmed by hapless idiot Neil – played by Blake Harrison – who shared a picture of Simon’s infamous yellow Fiat Cinquecento on set.

Harrison shared a snap of the banger, which was fit with a red door, sitting in the parking lot outside the studio as filming gets underway for their one-off special.

He simply wrote next to it: ‘Hello old friend.’

As you may remember, the car met its untimely end in the final episode of series three when the boys went on a camping trip and it rolled down a hill into a body of water.

Now, though, it appears to be back from the dead, and featuring in the upcoming anniversary show which was confirmed back in November.

The cast will be back on screens for the first time in four years to take part in a one-off celebration show which will see Jay, Neil, Simon and Will reminisce about the hit comedy.

The episode will also feature behind the scenes clips, surprise guests, celebrity fans, unseen footage and embarrassing stories.

Channel 4’s head of live events and commissioning editor for entertainment Tom Beck announced the news to Digital Spy. He said:

“Will, Jay, Simon and Neil spent years failing to sneak into the best parties, so I’m very pleased to throw one that they’re definitely invited to. I just hope Will brings his Mum.”

According to The Sun, producer Will MacDonald said of the anniversary special:

“The love for The Inbetweeners is huge, the kind of love that Jay would boast he’s had many times — big celebrities, millions of viewers and loving fans across the globe.

And it’s so exciting the boys will be back together to feel that love from all those people and enjoy it first-hand. What could possibly go wrong?”

James Buckley (Jay) also recently shared a picture of the reunion to his Instagram page, which appeared to show the foursome back inside the Fiat.
