Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary in Green Bay, Wisconsin opened it’s first location in 2016, and since has been a non-profit organisation that looks after rescue cats that have disabilities, and have come from places where they’d be at risk of being put down.

At any given time, they usually have 20-30 rescue cats within, and have apparently adopted over 300 cats in their time. They run exclusively as a cage-free sanctuary and rely on donations and volunteers to stay afloat.

Six months ago, a man called Terry Lauerman offered to help out, and in the months since, started coming in every day. As Safe Haven have it, Lauerman brushes every cat there, can tell you what every one likes and dislikes, and then has a little nap.

In fact, they posted about their local on their Facebook page, and the internet went wild for it…

The post has since gone viral, receiving over 63,000 likes and being shared more than 14,000 times.

Elizabeth Feldhausen, the founder of Safe Haven Pet Sanctuary, told BuzzFeed News:

Yesterday, when I told him he hit 400,000 views he said he hoped all those people would donate.

I kept telling him, ‘Terry, you’re famous,’ and he would just do his modest laugh and go back to petting cats.

Naturally, the comments are in love with him…

Good for him. Men like Terry have the right ideas about life.
