Me and fellow Hook writer Alfie Powell had a discussion about One Tree Hill this morning and he’d never heard of it, much to my dismay.

I’m of the age where the likes of One Tree Hill and The O.C. were must-see teen dramas that made my life seem boring and uneventful.

The cult show – which started off following the lives of two half-brothers, Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray aka “Dream Boat”) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty), who compete for positions on their school’s basketball team – last aired in 2012, but after six long years the crew are getting back together for a one-off Christmas film.

Excited much?

The Christmas Contract trailer has finally arrived and sees One Tree Hill stars Hilarie Burton, Danneel Ackles, Robert Buckley and Antwon Tanner reunite.

The stars aren’t actually playing the original characters as it’s a brand new story line with new characters, but the trailer is like taking a wonderful trip down memory lane.

Seeing them all on-screen together again is making me feel a certain way…

The story will follow Burton’s character Jolie as she travels home to Louisiana for Christmas shortly after her devastating breakup with her boyfriend, Foster, who is from the same small town.

While Jolie struggles with the idea of her former love bringing a new girl home for the holidays, she leans on her friends (Danneel Ackles) and her best friend’s flaky brother Clay for support.

Fans first heard of the reunion back in June as the cast tweeted about a ‘mystery project’ they were working on.

One user wrote: “I can’t wait to see what y’all are doing! Christmas came really early this year [sic].” Another added: “This makes me so very happy!

The Christmas Contract airs tomorrow, November 22nd, at 8 p.m on Lifetime and will probably be available online soon after.

You’re welcome, folks
