It’s been a long time coming and even though it’s around a month later than we thought it would be, we’ve finally gotten a decent look at the much-anticipated Spider-Man: Homecoming sequel, Spider-Man: Far From Home!
As you might have suspected, because it was never in contention really, Tom Holland is back as the titular spidered man and while we all want to know how he got out of that whole ‘being wiped from existence’ scrape with Thanos, I’m sure we’ll get a reasonable explanation in the near future.
In Homecoming, we saw Peter Parker try to balance being Spider-Man (albeit one who isn’t trusted to be an Avenger) with trying to be a normal 15-year-old kid with a normal crush with a normal girl. Obviously things don’t work out so linear, otherwise that would have been a bad film, but Holland endeared himself to us and we can’t wait to see what he does next.
In this film, so far as plot goes, we’ve been told that Nick Fury assigned Parker to a mission in eastern Europe while he was on a school trip, where he teamed up with Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio – a man who is more often than not a Marvel villain. The two are said to form a brotherly bond and that’s sure to lead to a fantastic finale between the two.
Have a watch…
Oooohh this looks golden. I absolutely can’t wait!
Spider-Man: Far From Home is slated for a July 2019 release, but we have Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel to contend with first.
