Not long ago we brought to your attention ‘2.0’ – an Indian superhero film about what I think is an Inspector Gadget type person who fights off hordes of mobile phones.

It’s completely bonkers and has to be seen to be believed:

Absolutely ridiculous.

Having said that, the CGI and visual effects actually aren’t that bad, which brings me onto Dead Ant, which is pretty much the opposite of that.

The film follows an ageing ‘80s hair metal band caught up in a killer ant attack during a psychedelic desert trip.

The synopsis reads:

‘When the “one-hit-wonder” glam-metal band “Sonic Grave” embark on a trip to Coachella in hopes of a comeback, their peyote trip pit stop in Joshua Tree incites an “unworldly” vicious attack, and they must “rock” themselves out of harm’s way.’

The B-movie is somehow more ridiculous than 2.0, but don’t take my word for it, see for yourself:

I’m staggered.

I mean where do you start with that other than ‘WHEN CAN I GO AND SEE IT’.

The ‘film’ stars cult movie stalwarts like Michael Horse (Twin Peaks), Sean Astin (Toy Soldiers, Lord of the Rings) and Jake Busey (Starship Troopers) but you aren’t bothered about that and neither am I.

We care about big, f*cking killer ants and that’s about it.

Despite being shot in 2017, Dead Ant is apparently coming out at the end of the month on digital download.

It was never going to be a cinema job, was it?
