Eminem’s been a busy man of late; the American rapper recently released his tenth studio album – “Kamikaze” – as well as going back and forth with rapper Machine Gun Kelly in a series of diss tracks which included some pretty cringeworthy insults that would have rappers of the 90’s hanging their heads in shame.
Em seems to have moved on from the feud now though as he’s released the video to his latest single “Venom”, which is also the featured track for the Marvel anti-hero movie of the same name.
The video starts with a man walking down the street where he discovers and old Eminem CD on the floor. As he picks up the disc he notices a similar looking symbiote to the one that takes of Tom Hardy’s character in the movie.
As the man becomes infected by the alien life form, he begins rapping lines to the track as Slim Shady eventually takes over his new host before transforming into the symbiote right at the last second.
There’s also loads of references to the film throughout the video, which you can check out below.
“Venom” – which is in cinemas now – stars Tom Hardy as investigative journalist Eddie Brock who merges with an alien symbiote to become one of Spider-Man’s greatest enemies.
The film was met with largely negative reviews from critics when it was released, who heavily criticised its direction and overall tone.
Despite the film’s response, people seemed to be enjoying the music video.
I hate to say I told you so but I predicted this film would be a flop ages ago.
You can’t really have a film about Venom without Spider-Man in it, can you? That’d be like having a Lex Luthor film without Superman, or a Joker film without Batman.
Wait a minute…
