A lot has been made of the contestant’s earnings in ‘I’m A Celeb’ this year.

With the varying degrees of ‘celebrity’ it goes without saying that some contestants are on a lot more than others.

For example, Noel Edmonds is on an ‘I’m a Celeb’ record-breaking £600,000 for his appearance, while Harry Redknapp will be taking home a cool £500,000.

Who the winner will be is also anyone’s guess at the moment, but John Barrowman is the early bookmakers favourite, closely followed by with Emily Atack and Harry Redknapp in third.

However, whoever the King or Queen of the Jungle is this year, they will have to hand over a sizeable chunk (a third to be exact) of their winnings.

The winner of the ITV reality show has a standard clause in their contract which states that they must pay the TV channel 30 per cent of their earnings made in the 45 days following the show.

According to the Mail On Sunday , “the earnings clause, which is in force for 45 days following the end of the show, applies to public appearances, contracts and endorsements.”

For example, last year’s winner Georgia Toffolo only received £13,000 which seems pretty unfair given how much they have to go through.

In other ‘I’m a Celeb’ news, Nick Knowles might be in some discomfort in the coming days thanks to none other than Anne Hegerty.
