Singer-songwriter Adele has reportedly got engaged to her boyfriend, American sports agent Rich Paul.
She has been spotted numerous times brandishing a diamond ring on her wedding finger, and now it seems the rumours have been confirmed by a source close to the pair.
Although having initially connected at a party a few years prior, the pair didn’t start dating until the summer of 2021, when they made their relationship public.
They’ve since given us a few peaks into their endearing union.
Adele and Paul have engaged in a number of interviews, in addition to making appearances together at different NBA games and going Instagram official in September 2021.
Adele briefly discussed her relationship with Paul in open interviews for the October 2021 cover stories of Vogue and British Vogue.
“Rich just incredibly arrived,” she said. “I don’t feel anxious or nervous or frazzled. It’s quite the opposite. It’s wild.”
She also revealed that they first met at a party a few years prior when she joked, while “a bit drunk,” “Do you want to sign me? I’m an athlete now.”
“He’s great. He’s so f***ing funny. He’s so smart, you know,” she added.
The singer then discussed her relationship with Paul in detail on her November 2021 Adele One Night Only CBS special with Oprah Winfrey.
“He’s just hilarious. Oh, he’s so funny, he’s hilarious, yeah. And very smart. You know, he’s very, very smart. It’s quite incredible watching him do what he does,” she said.
She added that this relationship was the first that she’d “loved myself and been open to loving and being loved by someone else.”
“It’s just timing,” she added. “But it’d be interesting to see what my reaction is like in general to anything that hurts me now that I feel so secure in myself, and I’m talking outside of romance as well.”
And now it seems the pair have finally made it official!
The news was made public by Deux Moi, which claimed that the information was obtained from a “very reliable source.”
This comes as Adele was spotted over the weekend performing at her most recent Las Vegas gig while sporting a massive diamond ring on her wedding finger, fueling the most recent rumors.
Although neither Adele or Rich Paul have opened up about their engagement, fans have talked about the news on social media, with one writing: “Congratulations to her, but I don’t understand why they bother getting married, as for those who say it is romantic, well they are going to blast out the romance of the thing when they get their solicitors to draw up a prenup, so why bother? lol
However, not everyone believes the rumor, with another writing: “I read this article and it didn’t have Adele and Rich Paul named in it. I hope they get married this year but until they say something I don’t believe it. RP is not getting any younger and he has Adele so I don’t know what’s holding him back.”
