Bruce Willis And His Wife Emma’s Exciting Baby News

Bruce Willis and his wife Emma have some exciting baby news – the pair have welcomed a new little one into their lives!

Willis has become a grandfather for the first time after his daughter Rumer welcomed her first child, making Emma Hemming a step-grandmother!

The thirty-four-year-old announced that she had given birth to a little girl back on April 18 via homebirth, alongside an adorable photo of the newborn, as well as revealing her name.

Rumer is the eldest daughter of Bruce and his ex-wife Demi Moore, and has been with Derek Thomas, the father of her new little one, since 2022.

The news comes after Willis’ family announced the actor was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. He had previously been diagnosed with aphasia, a cognitive communication disorder.

Rumer first announced her pregnancy back in December.

“Still cant believe I am currently cooking a little person in my belly right now. I am so deeply grateful for the incredible lessons and gifts that have come my way this year. I’m so grateful this little soul chose me to have the privilege of being their mama,” she wrote on Instagram.

A source close to the star told Radar Online at the time: “He’s determined to stay coherent and lucid for as long as possible so his grandchild can have some happy memories of a grandfather who was present and active in his or her life. Bruce has never backed away from a challenge. He’s dead-set that this new baby is going to get the best he has to offer.”

However, just a couple of months after Rumer’s pregnancy announcement, the family revealed the heartbreaking news that the Die Hard star had been diagnosed with dementia.

They shared this statement: “As a family, we wanted to take this opportunity to thank you all for the outpouring of love and compassion for Bruce over the past ten months.”

It continued: “Your generosity of spirit has been overwhelming, and we are tremendously grateful for it. For your kindness, and because we know you love Bruce as much as we do, we wanted to give you an update. “

They added: “Since we announced Bruce’s diagnosis of aphasia in spring 2022, Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD). Unfortunately, challenges with communication are just one symptom of the disease Bruce faces. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.”

After this tumultuous start to the year, it surely comes as welcome news to the family that Bruce’s eldest daughter Rumer has just welcomed her first child.

“Louetta Isley Thomas Willis. You are pure magic,” she wrote in an announcement on Instagram.

“Born at home on Tuesday April 18th. You are more than we ever dreamed of.”

Family members, fans and celebrities have shared their warm wishes in the post’s comments.

“Omg we love her so so much,” Bruce’s wife Emma Hemming Willis wrote.

“Pure love for this little birdie,” Rumer’s mum Demi said.

Jenna Dewan commented: “Ahhhhhh angel!!!! So happy for you all!!!”

While Hilary Duff said: “Yes mama …. Magical!”

Congratulations to the new parents!
