Madonna’s Boyfriend Shares Heartbreaking Post After Singer Hospitalised

Madonna’s boyfriend Josh Popper has shared a heartbreaking post following the star’s hospitalisation over the weekend.

The news of her ill health came just weeks before the star was set to embark on her eighty-four date ‘Celebration’ world tour, to honour the fortieth anniversary of her career.

The pop icon was admitted to intensive care on June 24 and continues to get medical care in hospital. The star’s manager Guy Oseary shared the news in a post on Instagram, announcing that she had suffered a ‘serious bacterial infection’.

As per the New York Post, the sixty-four-year-old was found ‘unresponsive’ at a New York City residence on Saturday, and was then admitted to the ICU. She was said to have been intubated, but has since had the tube removed and has been moved into a regular ward.

Thankfully, her manager reassured fans her condition has improved and she is expected to make a full recovery.

She was set to embark on her ‘Celebration’ world tour in less than 3 weeks’ time, but the shows have now been postponed to allow for time for the star to get better.

The statement from her management team read: “On Saturday June 24, Madonna developed a serious bacterial infection which lead to a several day stay in the ICU.

“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected.

“At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour. We will share more details with you soon as we have them, including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

In the wake of the heartbreaking news of Madonna’s hospitalisation, the sixty-four-year-old’s partner, boxer Josh Popper, has shared a heartbreaking post in which he appears to allude to the star’s health crisis.

The twenty-nine-year-old is yet to acknowledge her hospitalisation directly, but his emotional caption has led to speculation that her health scare has hit him hard.

“‘Give yourself permission to live a big life. Step into who you were meant to be. Stop playing small. You are meant for greater things.’

“Thank you to my coach @fftstrong, my family, and the Bredwinners team for being by my side,” he wrote alongside a carousel of boxing photos.

The meaningful post was shared to his Instagram Story the day that the news broke Madonna had been hospitalised, but he had shared the photos on his feed in the days preceding, per The Sun.
