As most of you will be aware, in 2022, Kourtney Kardashian married Travis Barker. And now, she has legally changed her name, but fans have called the star out over the change.
The 44-year-old reality star shared the news on Instagram with the caption “Say my name,” revealing that she is now officially known as Kourtney Kardashian Barker.
Fans have responded quickly to this shift, which is not surprising given how well-known the Kardashian name is worldwide.
Her supporters have, however, noted repeatedly that she was unable to completely shed the Kardashian moniker.
“She did not drop her last name. Because it won’t be so difficult when it’s over,” one fan wrote.
While a second added: “Can’t even give up the Kardashian name. Should have just been Kourtney Barker!”
A third added that she: “Should’ve just been Kourtney Barker,” a statement that many others agreed with in the comment section.
“They do it like that so when divorce comes just drop the last name,” another said.
“So now when she gets divorced she can just the drop the -Barker and go on to the next chapter of her life,” someone else agreed.
This comes after Kourtney revealed she is expecting a child with the Blink-182 drummer.
And it has been reported that Kourtney and Travis have already decided on the name for their first child together.
According to “The Kardashians,” the couple has been actively trying to conceive for more than a year and a half.
In order to begin their journey, they had to go through the difficult process of the in vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedure.
Kourtney revealed in September of last year that she had stopped treatment because of the bad side effects, which included a serious impact on her mental health, resulting in depression.
She also revealed she had struggled with weight gain due to the hormone therapy, something that she has previously addressed on social media after followers began to make hurtful comments.
Kourtney already has three children, Mason, 13, Penelope, 10, and Reign, 8, who she shares with Scott Disick, who frequently appeared on Keeping up with the Kardashians.
Travis’ also has two children from a previous marriage to Shanna Moakler, Landon, 19, and Alabama, 17.
According to reports, Kourtney told Travis she was expecting a child while they were at a Blink-182 performance.
Since then, the pair has teased on Instagram that they already know what they’re planning on naming their child, while entertaining humorous suggestions from fans that it may be connected to Travis’s line of work as a drummer.
