Halle Berry Claims She Denied Drake Permission To Use ‘Disgusting’ Photo Of Her For Cover Art

Drake’s newest release has left fans rejoicing with the surprise drop, but Halle Berry has revealed that she is fuming after the rapper used a ‘disgusting’ photo of her for the cover art without her permission.

The Canadian is one of modern music’s biggest stars, and is pretty prolific when it comes to releasing new stuff. His latest release is a single featuring American singer-songwriter SZA. Called ‘Slime You Out’, the track has caused quite the splash, and not for reasons that relate to the music.

The cover art for the single features a picture of Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry from Nickelodeon’s Kids’ Choice Awards from way back in 2012, but the star has revealed that she did not give her permission for her image to be used.

Fans were left confused as to why she was so fuming over the photo seeing as it is owned by Getty Images in the first place, but it turns out it’s because Drake had asked for her blessing before he used the picture, and Berry did not give it.

“Cuz he asked me and I said NO that’s why,” the Catwoman star wrote in her Instagram comments. “Why ask if you intend to do what you want to do! That was the f**k you to me. Not cool You get it?”

The inital beef began when Berry shared a message to her account on the Friday reading: “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy … even if you’re a woman!”

“[Drake] didn’t get my permission,” she replied to someone in the comments. “That’s not cool. I thought better of him!”

Fans have responded to the news online.

One person wrote: “What’s the point of asking someone if you gonna disregard their answer??”

A second put: “Oh look, another man disrespecting and ignoring women’s wishes and doing what they want anyways because it benefits them.”

While a third said: “Everyone saying “whats the big deal?” “Its just a picture” “i’d be honored to be the cover” ITS ABOUT BOUNDARIES & CONSENT. He asked and she said no. I promise you its not that complicated if you have a working brain.”
