Matthew Perry’s Assistant Gives Police New Details On His Final Moments

New details have emerged surrounding the tragic death of Matthew Perry, the actor best known for his role as Chandler Bing on the hit TV show “Friends.” Law enforcement sources have revealed that while no illegal substances were found at Perry’s Pacific Palisades home, a variety of prescription medications were present. These included anti-depressants, anti-anxiety drugs, and a medication commonly used for Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office is set to conduct a toxicology exam to determine if any of these medications played a role in Perry’s death, although results could take several months to be finalized. Perry, who was a smoker, was found unresponsive in his jacuzzi after spending two hours playing pickleball at the Rivera County Club near his residence.

According to sources, Perry was in good spirits during the game and even had his assistant pick up a new iPhone and prescription glasses for him afterward. However, when the assistant returned to Perry’s home, they discovered him unresponsive in the jacuzzi and immediately called 911. Following the emergency call, the assistant also contacted Perry’s mother, one sibling, and another unrelated individual.

Perry was known to be passionate about pickleball, even dedicating a section of his home to the sport. The actor was 54 years old at the time of his death, and the investigation into the cause is ongoing.
