E4 Married At First Sight Australia first as wedding called off with bride and groom at altar

Married At First Sight Australia witnessed a historic moment as a wedding was abruptly called off at the groom’s behest, leaving viewers stunned.

In Tuesday night’s episode, Lucinda from Byron Bay was paired with Tim, marking one of the first couples to tie the knot in the latest series of the popular E4 show. However, their journey down the aisle didn’t go as smoothly as expected.

As Lucinda made her entrance at their outdoor ceremony, Tim began to express doubts about their compatibility. Reflecting on their first meeting, Tim admitted to the camera, “She is a great-looking girl, she had a great smile and a great-looking dress. I am getting the sense that she is a spiritual energy type of person which is very different.”

As nerves escalated, a dramatic turn of events unfolded. During their vows, a sudden storm cloud rolled in, prompting Tim to humorously remark, “I was waiting for something to fall out the sky and hit me, it was like all my prayers had been answered. The first couple of drops I thought we could last this out, then when it just started belting with rain – everybody went nuts.”

Guests were seen scrambling for cover as the unexpected downpour disrupted the ceremony, leading to the unprecedented decision to halt the wedding midway. Tim quipped, “Maybe it was the big fella up there just saying ‘Hey take five’, which I really appreciated.”

Despite the chaotic weather, Lucinda remained unfazed, attributing the storm to good luck. She remarked, “I think it is better, all the elements came out the rain and the wind. Apparently, it is good luck and I am rolling with that.”

Fortunately, the sun eventually made an appearance, allowing the couple to resume their nuptials. Tim observed, “Nothing about this day has been normal but you can see that she has just got a great heart.” The pair exchanged vows and continued their special day.

Viewers took to social media to share their reactions, with some humorously attributing the weather to “witchcraft” and divine intervention. One viewer joked, “That lightning is a sign from God. Don’t do it, Sir. He should have checked the weather channel before walking down the aisle.” Another quipped, “Well. The rain has spoken.” Overall, the unexpected turn of events left many viewers amused and entertained.
