Jim Carrey Just ‘Exposed TV Industry’s Darkest Secret’ During Interview

Comedy enthusiasts have lauded Jim Carrey for shedding light on one of the “darkest secrets” of the entertainment industry before a vast audience.

Despite his renowned roles like Lloyd in Dumb and Dumber and Joel in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Carrey’s appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live a few years back took an unexpected turn toward whistleblowing.

While promoting the 2014 film Dumb and Dumber To, Carrey entered the stage with a gesture that Kimmel jokingly likened to a “gang sign.” When questioned about the peculiar gesture involving a triangle around his mouth and sticking out his tongue, Carrey retorted, “Like you don’t know what it is… all the comics in show business don’t know what this is.”

Declaring the time for secrecy over, Carrey elaborated that the sign was the “secret symbol of the Illuminati.” He described it as the “all-mocking tongue” and expressed his desire for everyone to be in on the joke.

According to Carrey, individuals on television have been employed by the government for years as a distraction from reality, keeping the public “happy and docile.” In a playful tone, he joked about secret meetings in the woods where decisions are made.

Continuing the jest, Carrey pretended to be hypnotized by a buzzing phone call, before redirecting attention to promoting Dumb and Dumber To: “I think what I was really trying to say is that people will really enjoy Dumb and Dumber this weekend.”

Following Carrey’s revelations, viewers praised the comedian, with one remarking, “He showed the darkest secrets!” Another commented, “He exposed them all. Love Jim Carrey.”

The clip garnered over nine million views on YouTube and an additional 19 million after being shared on X today (March 7). Despite Carrey’s exposé, it appears that audiences still enjoy talk shows that keep them “happy and docile.”
