Lady Gaga Defends Dylan Mulvaney After Backlash On Her International Women’s Day Post

Lady Gaga has stepped forward to defend Dylan Mulvaney following a surge of backlash over a social media post commemorating International Women’s Day, which featured the two celebrities together.

In response to the onslaught of negativity aimed at Dylan’s Instagram post from Friday, Gaga took to her own platform to address the issue head-on. She expressed her dismay, stating, “It’s appalling to me that a post about National Women’s Day by Dylan Mulvaney and me would be met with such vitriol and hatred.”

Gaga highlighted the distinction between criticism and hatred, rejecting the notion that the backlash constituted mere disagreement. She emphasized, “But it is not surprising given the immense work that it’s obvious we still have to do as a society to make room for transgender lives to be cherished and upheld by all of us.”

Asserting her solidarity with the transgender community, Gaga clarified that she does not speak on their behalf but stands as an ally. She concluded by advocating for unity and equality, stating, “I hope all women will come together to honor us ALL for International Women’s Day, and may we do that always until THE DAY that all women are celebrated equally.”

In essence, Gaga firmly supports Dylan and urges detractors to reconsider their stance. Notably, Dylan has faced controversy before, particularly over her partnership with Bud Light last year, which prompted a significant boycott. Despite the backlash, Dylan has garnered support from figures like Paris Hilton and ‘Drag Race’s Sasha Colby.

With Lady Gaga now championing her cause, Dylan finds a powerful ally in her corner.
