The Gentleman Fans in Stitches after Realising where they Know Eddie Horniman Actor From

Viewers of “The Gentlemen” didn’t need to scour IMDb to recall where they’d seen one of its primary stars, as the connection was unforgettable.

The series, sharing its title with the 2019 film starring Matthew McConaughey, Colin Farrell, and Hugh Grant, is created, co-written, and executive produced by Guy Ritchie. Ritchie reunites with Vinnie Jones, previously collaborating on “Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels.”

Ritchie expressed his enthusiasm for the new series, stating, “The world of The Gentlemen is a little bit of me. I’m thrilled that with Netflix, Miramax, and Moonage we have this opportunity to inhabit it once again. We’re looking forward to bringing fans back into that world, introducing new characters and their stories and I am excited to be doing it with this extremely talented cast.”

However, viewers particularly noted Theo James among the cast. While some might expect recognition for his good looks or acting prowess, the connection wasn’t quite what they anticipated.

Many recalled James’ appearance in “The Inbetweeners Movie” from 2011. In the film, James portrays James, a holiday rep who becomes involved with Carli, the object of Simon’s affections. His character spends much of the film antagonising the main characters as they navigate a holiday in Malia.

One memorable scene involves James unknowingly getting feces on his nose after using a 20 euro note borrowed from Jay. This unforgettable moment sparked reactions among viewers as they made the connection to James’ role in “The Gentlemen.”

On X, formerly Twitter, viewers shared their reactions, with some admitting they couldn’t view James the same way after the memorable scene. Others humorously noted the juxtaposition of James’ role alongside Gustavo Fring, a character from another series. Overall, James’ unforgettable moment in “The Inbetweeners Movie” left a lasting impression on viewers.
