Celebrity Big Brother Hit with Ofcom Complaints over Ekin-Su Treatment as She Goes into Hiding

Celebrity Big Brother is facing a flurry of Ofcom complaints regarding the treatment of former contestant Ekin-Su. The reality star was eliminated from the house last week in a double eviction, but the drama didn’t stop there. During her interview on Late and Live, tensions escalated as Ekin-Su was questioned about her time in the house. She attributed her portrayal to the editing process, prompting some presenters and fellow stars to contest her claims. At one point, her mother intervened to defend her.

Reflecting on her exit, Ekin-Su expressed relief at leaving, stating, “You can’t predict life. Just because I won Love Island doesn’t mean I can win everything else. I’m glad I’m out.” She emphasised the challenges of maintaining authenticity in a highly structured environment, remarking, “I don’t think people knew I was being myself.”

Ekin-Su’s absence from ITV’s Lorraine earlier in the week sparked speculation. While the show initially expected her appearance, she did not materialise. The confusion led to a statement clarifying that Ekin-Su did not withdraw from the program, assuring viewers of her eventual return.

In addition to her exit from the house, Ekin-Su found herself at odds with fellow contestant Marisha Wallace, who nominated her for eviction. Marisha clarified her decision, stating, “That’s not even how I meant it.” She explained her intuition about the dynamics within the house, highlighting a sense of unease that prompted her actions.
