Abby Hensel, one half of the conjoined twins known for their TV appearances alongside her sister Brittany, has tied the knot, marking a new chapter in their remarkable journey.

The twins captured public fascination when they appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 1996 at the age of around six. Subsequently, as they entered their twenties, their lives became the focus of the TLC reality series Abby & Brittany. The show chronicled their experiences as they navigated college and ventured into adulthood.

In a recent development, Abby has wed nurse and US Army veteran Josh Bowling. A wedding photo, featuring Abby, Brittany, and Josh, surfaced on the Hensels’ joint Facebook page, portraying the trio in what appears to be a moment of marital bliss. Records obtained by Today reveal that the couple exchanged vows in 2021.

Since their nuptials, Abby, Brittany, and Josh have been pictured traveling, hiking, and embracing life’s adventures together. The trio resides in Minnesota, their hometown, where Abby and Brittany are reportedly employed as fifth-grade teachers.

Describing himself on his X account, Josh identifies as a “Christian, Father, Husband, Veteran, and occasional gamer.”

As dicephalus conjoined twins, Abby and Brittany share a bloodstream and control different sets of limbs. Abby manages their right arm and leg, while Brittany governs those on the left.

In the inaugural episode of their reality series, the twins addressed the curiosity surrounding them, affirming their upbringing instilled in them the belief that they could achieve anything. Their parents, Patty and Mike, faced the decision to separate the twins at birth but opted against it due to the slim survival chances for both.

In a 2003 documentary titled Joined For Life, Patty revealed the twins’ aspirations of motherhood, citing their functional reproductive organs as a possibility for them. Brittany echoed this sentiment, expressing their desire to be mothers in the future, though acknowledging they were just 16 at the time and had yet to ponder the logistics of parenthood.
