WWE Forced To Mute Wrestlemania After The Rock Broke Protocol With X-Rated Tirade

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s triumphant return to the WWE ring at WrestleMania 40 brought with it some spicy moments that kept fans on the edge of their seats.

Taking on Cody Rhodes and World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins, The Rock reclaimed his center stage spotlight, marking his first in-ring appearance in eight years. The last time he graced the ring was at WrestleMania 32, where he defeated Erick Rowan.

During his latest showdown, the 51-year-old wrestling icon found himself in a heated exchange with a referee, seemingly boasting about his clout since joining the board of directors at TKO Holdings, WWE’s parent company, earlier this year. He notably warned the official not to count anyone out under threat of being ‘fired’, declaring adamantly, “I’m not messing around!”

As The Rock’s passionate dialogue continued, WWE took the decision to mute the conversation. This wasn’t the first instance of the Jumanji star’s colorful language making waves in the wrestling world. On a previous episode of RAW, he exclaimed, “This is what happens when you mess with The Final Boss!” during a bout with Rhodes.

Speculation arose regarding The Rock’s explicit language and its implications for WWE’s TV-PG rating. However, Johnson swiftly refuted these claims, dismissing them as ‘nonsense’ in response to a tweet suggesting TKO’s guidelines. Despite this, tensions have escalated in recent days.

A viral video captured a tense exchange between The Rock and a fan at a WWE Hall of Fame ceremony, where he was inducting his late grandmother, a wrestling promoter, into the prestigious Hall of Fame. Following his heartfelt tribute, a fan heckled him about his upcoming fight against Rhodes, prompting The Rock to confront him. In the exchange, the fan accused him of ‘selling out’, to which The Rock retorted sharply, “That’s right, That’s what I thought. Watch your mouth.”

Following his victory at WrestleMania, it’s safe to say that fan might be reconsidering his words. Despite transitioning into Hollywood and amassing a staggering net worth of $800 million, The Rock remains a beloved figure in both worlds. With the largest social media following of any American man, he continues to live up to his moniker, ‘The Great One’.
