Bruce Willis Pictured For First Time In Months Since It Was Confirmed He’s ‘No Longer Totally Verbal’

Bruce Willis was recently spotted on a rare outing as he navigates life with his dementia diagnosis. The Hollywood icon was observed riding in the passenger seat of a vehicle in Sherman Oaks, California, under the guidance of an assistant. Clad in a dark zipped jumper with a red top underneath, the 69-year-old actor appeared contemplative as he gazed into the distance during the excursion.

Meanwhile, Bruce’s wife, Emma Heming Willis, has been reflecting on their journey together. Emma, 45, who married the legendary actor in 2009, took to social media to reminisce about their initial encounter. Sharing insights on her Make Time podcast, Emma revealed that she first met Bruce through fitness expert Gunnar Peterson, the first male guest on her show.

Their relationship, which blossomed since their meeting in 2007, has been characterized by mutual admiration. Emma previously expressed her surprise at Bruce’s “charming and funny” demeanor during their initial interaction. In a joint interview with PEOPLE in 2020, she recalled her first impression, to which Bruce affectionately added, “I was already in love with her.”

The couple shares two daughters, Mabel (born 2012) and Evelyn (born 2014), while Bruce also has three older children with ex-wife Demi Moore: Rumer, Tallulah, and Scout.

Recently, Rumer shared a heartwarming throwback clip of her father showcasing his musical talent. The video featured Bruce performing with The Temptations, captivating the audience with his rendition of their hit song “Under The Boardwalk” during a 1987 Top of the Pops performance.

These glimpses into Bruce’s life come amid revelations from his friend and creator of the 1980s comedy series Moonlighting, Glen Gordon Caron, who shed light on Bruce’s battle with dementia. Glen shared with the New York Post that while Bruce may have initial moments of recognition lasting one to three minutes, he faces challenges with verbal communication due to frontotemporal dementia, diagnosed in February 2023 following an initial diagnosis of aphasia.

Throughout this journey, Bruce’s family has remained steadfast in their support, regularly updating fans on social media about his condition and progress.
