Alec Baldwin Slaps Phone Out of Woman’s Hand After She Asks Why He ‘Killed That Lady’

In a New York City coffee shop, Alec Baldwin found himself facing a confrontational encounter with a protestor, a moment that escalated quickly and was captured in viral footage. The protestor, who repeatedly pressed Baldwin about the tragic death of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and the ongoing conflict in Palestine, seemed determined to confront the actor.

Baldwin, who faces manslaughter charges in connection with Hutchins’ death on the set of the film “Rust” in October 2021, has been under intense scrutiny. His attorneys, Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro of Quinn Emanuel, have maintained his innocence, expressing anticipation for their day in court.

The tension reached a boiling point as the protestor badgered Baldwin, demanding he acknowledge her concerns. Despite attempts to ignore her, the situation persisted. Baldwin, appearing visibly agitated, eventually made a gesture to the barista for assistance and requested police intervention.

As the situation unfolded, Baldwin seemingly lost his composure and swiped at the protestor’s phone, abruptly ending the recording. The incident, shared widely on social media by the ‘Crackhead Barney & Friends’ account, drew mixed reactions. While some criticized Baldwin’s response, others pointed out the protester’s aggressive behavior.

Throughout the ordeal, Baldwin has maintained his innocence, stating in a 2021 interview with ABC that he believes someone else bears responsibility for the tragedy on set. Meanwhile, recent developments in the case have seen the film’s armorer, Hannah Gutierrez, sentenced to 18 months in prison after being found guilty of manslaughter for her role in the shooting.

The incident in the coffee shop serves as another chapter in the ongoing saga surrounding the tragic events on the set of “Rust,” leaving both Baldwin and those involved in the production entangled in legal and public scrutiny.
