Declan Rice’s girlfriend, Lauren Fryer, has taken a drastic step on social media, deleting all her Instagram posts after being subjected to a wave of online abuse regarding her appearance.

Lauren, 25, who has been with Arsenal player Declan Rice since their teenage years, decided to remove all content from her Instagram profile following relentless trolling.

The abuse began in December when an anonymous account criticised Declan, suggesting he “could do better” in terms of his relationship with Lauren, who is also the mother of their 20-month-old son, Jude.

Recently, another derogatory comment targeted Declan’s choice of partner, implying he had “low standards.” This prompted Lauren to delete all her posts from Instagram.

Reality TV personality Liberty Poole, known for her appearance on Love Island, condemned the cyberbullying, emphasising the need to embrace diverse body types and challenge unrealistic beauty standards perpetuated by social media.

Despite the couple’s efforts to maintain privacy, their relationship has faced public scrutiny. In August 2022, Declan seemingly confirmed the birth of their son, Jude, by revealing a tattoo dedicated to the newborn during a football match.

Despite preferring to keep their personal lives private, Declan and Lauren made a rare public appearance at the Reading Festival in 2021, where they were spotted mingling with Liam Gallagher after his performance.

Declan has previously spoken about his girlfriend’s occasional jealousy, particularly regarding his friendship with fellow footballer Mason Mount. He admitted that Lauren often jokes about feeling neglected due to their close bond.

Their relationship has been enduring, with both expressing affection and support for each other on social media. Declan has publicly celebrated Lauren’s birthday and achievements, showcasing their strong bond beyond the public eye.
