Buckingham Palace Posts Savage Response To Meghan Markle’s New Business

Is Buckingham Palace throwing shade at Meghan Markle?

Just days after the Duchess of Sussex made headlines with her strawberry jam sent to influencers, Buckingham Palace’s official shop introduced its own royal preserves.

While Meghan relied on friends to share her American Riviera Orchard jam, Buckingham Palace Shop’s Instagram shared a video featuring their own take on the sweet treat. Set to Mozart’s Dissonance Quartet, the reel suggests traditional British ways to enjoy the preserve, made with the finest British berries.

In a subtle nod to authenticity, Buckingham Palace’s version features the Royal Coat of Arms on each jar, bearing the motto of the Order of the Garter. The price of Markle’s jam remains undisclosed, but comparisons have been drawn to exclusive celebrity brands like Flamingo Estates.

In a social media post akin to #jamwars, the palace suggests enjoying their jam “On a scone as part of a cream tea. On a crumpet. With a croissant. On toast.” The post’s subtle jab hasn’t gone unnoticed, with comments favoring Buckingham Palace over Montecito.

Meanwhile, Meghan’s latest Netflix project, a cooking show, has begun filming. Despite teasers from her Montecito mansion, filming takes place elsewhere, with permits obtained for two separate locations. The Duchess’s venture, American Riviera Orchard, promises a range of products beyond jam, aiming to out-brand industry giants.

As Harry and Meghan embark on yet another relaunch, their Netflix projects take center stage, with Harry’s focus on polo and Meghan’s on domesticity—albeit from someone else’s kitchen.
