A woman faces charges of sexual battery after forcibly pulling down a teenager’s skirt in a public setting.
Ida Ann Lorenzo has been accused of committing a sex crime when she reportedly grabbed the skirt of an 18-year-old and pulled it down while they were at Sakura Japanese Steakhouse in St. George, Utah.
According to reports, Lorenzo approached a group of girls at the restaurant and began criticizing one of the teens about her outfit choice.
In a video shared on TikTok, the 48-year-old can be heard admonishing the alleged victim, threatening to involve Child Protective Services if she sees her “a** cheeks hanging out” again.
The video, which captures only a brief portion of the incident, starts with the person filming expressing disbelief, asking, “Is this actually happening?”
Lorenzo then addresses the group of girls, stating, “I happen to work for the state. If I have to watch your a** cheek hanging out again, I will call the CPS.” In response, one of the teens questions her employment status, while another requests that she call the police.
Subsequently, Lorenzo informed the police that she intended to file an indecent exposure report. However, she herself faced criminal charges for her actions.
Charged with Class A battery, Lorenzo, employed by Utah Attorney General Sean Reyes, was taken into custody at the Purgatory Correctional Facility in Hurricane.
She claimed that the teen’s skirt was excessively revealing, exposing her pubic hair while in a public area.
After the TikTok video was shared by one of the girls’ friends, it gained significant attention online, with many expressing satisfaction that Lorenzo faced consequences for harassing the girl.
Commenters reacted to the news, with one user sarcastically suggesting that Lorenzo should register as a sex offender, while others expressed support for the girls involved.
Following the video’s viral spread, Lorenzo reportedly approached authorities, claiming her life had been threatened, although there has been no update on this matter.
This incident serves as a stark example of facing repercussions for inappropriate behaviour.
