Pamela Anderson Called ‘Most Beautiful Woman Ever’ After Going Old Hollywood Style At Met Gala

Pamela Anderson finally graced the Met Gala with her presence on Monday night, marking a long-awaited debut at the prestigious event.

Stepping onto the 2024 red carpet, the 56-year-old icon radiated Old Hollywood charm, clad in a stunning beige gown by Oscar de la Renta that cascaded elegantly to the floor. The dress boasted a ruched bodice and an asymmetrical neckline, with a flowing train trailing behind her as she ascended the Met Steps.

Although Anderson has been known for her preference for a makeup-free look in recent years, she decided to embrace a different style for Vogue’s star-studded affair. Sporting a natural-looking glam, she adorned her features with soft pink eyeshadow and a glossy pink lip. Completing her ensemble were statement-making accessories, including two sparkling necklaces draped gracefully over her shoulders, and her signature blond locks fashioned into a loose, wavy updo adorned with feathers.

The decision to forego makeup stemmed from a poignant moment in Anderson’s life, following the passing of her longtime makeup artist, Alexis Vogel, in 2019 due to breast cancer. Reflecting on this loss in a 2023 interview with Elle, Anderson shared, “She was the best. And since then, I just felt, without Alexis, it’s just better for me not to wear makeup,” describing the experience as “freeing, and fun, and a little rebellious too.”

In recent months, the Canadian-American icon has been a fixture on magazine covers, graced the front row of Paris Fashion Week, starred in campaigns for renowned designers, and walked numerous red carpets sans makeup—a decision that has garnered praise from peers in Hollywood, including Jamie Lee Curtis and Scarlett Johansson.

Anderson’s philosophy on beauty challenges conventional norms, as she expressed in an interview with Vogue France last year, “You kind of have to challenge beauty sometimes. If we all chase youth or we are all chasing our idea of what beauty is in fashion magazines then we are all going to be disappointed or maybe a little bit sad.” For her, true happiness lies in embracing one’s authentic self, transcending external appearances.

This embrace of authenticity has not only defined Anderson’s personal journey but has also propelled her career to new heights. In recent years, she has authored a memoir, starred in a Netflix documentary, made her Broadway debut, and served as the muse for an Emmy-nominated Hulu miniseries. Her resilience, coupled with her unwavering commitment to self-expression, continues to inspire audiences worldwide.
