Cardi B Fans Worried For Her Safety After Met Gala Live Stream Showed What Was On Her Phone Screen

Social media is buzzing with concerns for Cardi B’s security after her appearance on the 2024 Met Gala’s livestream.

Despite the usual fashion commentary that floods social media during the Met Gala, all eyes were on Cardi B when she graced the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. However, it wasn’t her outfit that had everyone talking.

For this year’s theme, ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion,’ with the official dress code inspired by J.G. Ballard’s 1962 short story ‘The Garden of Time,’ Cardi B, also known as Belcalis Marlenis Cephus, stunned in a design by Windowsen. Her black off-the-shoulder gown boasted massive plumes of skirt in a full-circle train, complemented by attention-grabbing earrings and a dazzling necklace. The sheer grandeur of her attire required nine men to assist in carrying her dress due to its considerable size and weight.

However, what truly grabbed social media users’ attention was an unexpected detail captured on Vogue’s live feed of the event. As Cardi B opened her phone from the lock screen, the camera inadvertently revealed her entering her password slowly to accommodate her long nails, exposing her security code to the world.

Concerned fans immediately took to social media to express their worries for the musician’s safety. One user tweeted, “Did we just see Cardi B’s phone password at the British Vogue’s TikTok live?? Lol #MetGala.” Another added, “We just got Cardi B’s phone password on live television.”

The inadvertent reveal sparked a flurry of tweets, with users expressing shock and concern. “OMG THE MET GALA IS SOOO MESSSSYYYYYY I KNOW CARDI B PHONE PASSWORD,” exclaimed one user, while another cautioned, “CARDI B, THE WHOLE WORLD KNOWS YOUR PHONE PASSWORD NOW.”

Despite the potential security risk, it’s unlikely that Cardi B’s phone was compromised, given the high security measures in place at the event. With tickets reportedly costing $75,000 each and tables starting at $350,000, the rapper was likely shielded from any potential scams or extortion attempts.
