Garrison Brown, the son of Janelle and Kody Brown from the reality TV show “Sister Wives,” tragically passed away in March at the age of 25. Authorities have confirmed that his death was a suicide caused by a gunshot wound to the head, with ethanol intoxication (alcohol poisoning) being a contributing factor. His blood alcohol level was reported at .307% from iliac blood analysis and .370% from vitreous analysis, significantly higher than the legal limit of .08% in the US.

The devastating news has left Garrison’s family and the “Sister Wives” community in mourning. Both Janelle and Kody Brown expressed their profound sadness on social media, requesting privacy and honoring Garrison’s memory. Janelle described her son as a “bright spot in the lives of all who knew him,” while Kody shared his grief over not being close to Garrison and his brother Gabriel, despite their shared special experiences.

The family has faced considerable turmoil recently, with multiple separations among Kody’s wives since 2021, including Janelle leaving in December 2022. This family fragmentation has strained Kody’s relationships with his children, as evidenced by his statements on the show about the growing distance and his hopes for reconciliation.

Lieutenant Charles M Hernandez II of the Flagstaff Police Department confirmed the details of Garrison’s passing, stating there was no indication of foul play. The community continues to offer support and tributes to the Brown family during this difficult time.

For those affected by similar issues, resources like the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline in the US (800-273-8255) and the Samaritans in the UK (116 123) are available for support.
