Kelly Rowland went from calm to furious in an instant at the Cannes Film Festival, and now a lip reader has revealed what sparked her red carpet clash with a security guard.
Lip reader Jacqui Press analysed the singer’s heated exchange from the “Marcello Mio” premiere on Tuesday. Initially, everything seemed fine as Kelly kindly told the security guard, “It’s OK,” after the guard accidentally stepped on her dress. But then the situation escalated quickly.
Jacqui shared that the guard’s response was unclear but evidently annoyed Kelly, who responded sharply with, “Don’t talk to me like that.”
In the video, the security guard tries to stay composed while guiding Kelly up the stairs. However, Kelly repeatedly turns back, pointing her finger and insisting, “Don’t talk to me like that!”
The tension increased when a male security guard stepped in, asking about the commotion. Kelly stood her ground, stating firmly once more, “You still don’t talk to me like that!”
Online observers also agreed that Kelly was telling the female guard not to speak to her in such a manner, although the exact words exchanged remain unknown.
This incident marks the second heated confrontation Kelly has had this year. In February, she made headlines after storming off the ‘Today’ show set due to issues with her dressing room.
