Despite the success, Delphine revealed that PayPal had closed her account and seized the $90,000 she made from the bathwater sales, which she described as the ‘biggest L’ she had ever taken. The policy surrounding adult and sexual content through PayPal allows the sale of physical goods like DVDs, magazines, and in this case, bathwater jars, but only within the US. Delphine, being based in the UK, faced additional complications. PayPal has since dropped the policy on fines, leading to the eventual release of her funds. The resolution came only after Delphine’s public outcry on Twitter, where her post went viral.
