Hailey Welch, now known as the “Hawk Tuah Girl,” has recently become a viral sensation. But could her rise have been predicted by the iconic animated series, The Simpsons?
If you’re not familiar with the story, Welch has dominated social media after her interview with Tim & Dee TV.
Well, except LinkedIn—but there’s probably someone out there using it as a case study on going viral.
During the interview, Welch was asked: “What’s one move in bed that makes a man go crazy every time?”
Without missing a beat, she responded: “You gotta give ’em that ‘hawk tuah’ and spit on that thang. You get me?”
For those in the know, this became an instant hit.
Now, some fans believe The Simpsons predicted this moment.
In the eighth episode of season four, titled “New Kid on the Block,” Bart develops a crush on an older girl named Laura. As expected, things don’t end well for Bart, but there is a memorable scene where Laura spits on Bart’s hand, much to his pleasure.
“The Simpsons had done it again,” one user commented, while another added: “Simpsons were prophetic… they saw the future and it has come to pass.”
