The chef admits flashing on camera is one TV moment he wishes never happened

Gordon Ramsay has built a career on being brutally honest but there is one moment he wishes he could take back.

The celebrity chef, now 59, once shocked viewers during an episode of Hotel Hell when cameras followed him a little too far into his morning routine.

The moment happened during a visit to Murphy’s Hotel in California, where Ramsay had already made it clear he was not impressed after what he described as a terrible night’s sleep.

Things escalated quickly.

As he complained about the freezing water and the state of the hotel, Ramsay headed straight into the bathroom with cameras still rolling. What started as a standard reality TV scene turned into something viewers definitely did not expect, as he stepped into the shower and briefly flashed on screen.

At the time, the moment became one of the most talked about scenes from the show.

But looking back, Ramsay is not exactly proud of it.

Speaking in a past interview, he admitted that the shower scene is one thing he regrets, apologising for the unexpected glimpse and joking about how it ended up on camera in the first place.

Despite the awkward moment, it has not exactly hurt his TV legacy.

Ramsay went on to dominate reality television with shows like Kitchen Nightmares, Hell’s Kitchen and The F Word, becoming one of the most recognisable faces in food and entertainment.

Still, even for someone known for pushing boundaries, this is one moment he would probably rather leave in the past.
