Kimmarie Johnson has died at 50 after suffering a heart emergency at her Los Angeles home, according to her family. The actress was known for appearances in Beverly Hills, 90210, V.I.P. and the comedy Dude, Where's My Car?

Her niece, Rhonda Scott, said Johnson experienced what she described as a “heart event” on October 27. Emergency responders took her to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where doctors diagnosed her with a “heart aneurysm condition.”

Johnson died peacefully on Wednesday afternoon after her heart stopped beating, Scott said.

Which television and film roles was she known for?

Johnson began her acting career in 1998, playing Jane in an episode of Beverly Hills, 90210. She later appeared in V.I.P., the television series starring Pamela Anderson.

In 2000, she played the memorably credited “Jumpsuit Chick” in Dude, Where's My Car?, which starred Ashton Kutcher and Jennifer Garner. It was not the most elaborate character name ever approved by a studio, but it remains part of the film's enduringly strange résumé.

Her other screen credits included several independent and art-house films:

  • Break a Leg
  • Gang Warz
  • Spanish Fly
  • Shadow Fury
  • The Summer of Massacre

Johnson was 50.
