Prime Video has officially confirmed that Off Campus Season 2 will premiere on April 28, 2027, bringing viewers back to Briar University less than a year after the hockey romance drama made its streaming debut.

The announcement arrived on November 5 through a video featuring Mika Abdalla and Stephen Kalyn, who play Allie Hayes and Dean Di Laurentis. Their characters will take centre stage in the new season, replacing Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham as the show's primary romantic couple.

The release date is confirmed in Prime Video's official announcement, alongside details of the returning cast and several new characters joining the adaptation of Elle Kennedy's bestselling novels.

Season 2 is taking a different route through Elle Kennedy's books

For readers familiar with Kennedy's novels, the choice of lead couple reveals something particularly interesting about the show's adaptation strategy.

The first season followed Hannah and Garrett, whose romance forms the basis of The Deal, the opening novel in the Off-Campus series. However, Dean and Allie's relationship is explored in The Score, the third book, rather than the second.

That second novel, The Mistake, focuses on hockey player John Logan and Grace Ivers. Their relationship therefore comes earlier in the original literary sequence than Dean and Allie's story.

The distinction is confirmed by Elle Kennedy's official book descriptions, which establish the order of the novels and the characters at the centre of each romance.

Crucially, the television series is not necessarily abandoning Logan and Grace's storyline. Antonio Cipriano returns as John Logan, while India Fowler joins the cast as Grace Ivers.

Their presence leaves room for the adaptation to develop elements of The Mistake alongside Dean and Allie's romance, although Prime Video has not confirmed precisely how those stories will be incorporated.

Which Off Campus characters are returning for Season 2?

While the romantic focus is changing, the series is retaining much of the ensemble established during its first season.

Ella Bright and Belmont Cameli will return as Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham, allowing their characters to remain part of the Briar University storyline even as another relationship becomes the central focus.

Antonio Cipriano and Jalen Thomas Brooks are also returning as John Logan and John Tucker, respectively.

Among the newcomers, Phillipa Soo, known for her role in the original Broadway production of Hamilton, will play Scarlett, a theatre professional involved in a production at Briar University.

Shay Rudolph also joins the series as Summer Di Laurentis, Dean's younger sister. Other returning performers include Julia Sarah-Stone, Khobe Clarke, Miles Gutierrez-Riley and Charlie Evans.

Series creator Louisa Levy continues as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Gina Fattore.

Why Prime Video is bringing Off Campus back so quickly

The April 2027 premiere represents a relatively rapid turnaround for a streaming drama that launched its first season in May 2026.

Amazon reports that Off Campus reached 36 million viewers worldwide during its first 12 days of availability. According to the company, the programme was the third most-watched debut season of any Prime Video series at the time, behind the first seasons of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and Fallout.

Amazon also identified Off Campus as its most-watched debut season among women aged 18 to 34, an audience particularly relevant to the romance-focused adaptation.

These figures help explain why the streamer committed to another season before the first had even premiered. Off Campus received its early renewal in February 2026, giving the production a head start on its next instalment.

What has Prime Video confirmed about the new episodes?

Although the premiere date and principal cast are now official, several details remain outstanding.

Prime Video has not yet specified the second season's episode count or whether the episodes will be released simultaneously or follow a weekly schedule.

The first season consisted of eight episodes released together, but that approach has not been confirmed for Season 2.

There is also an important distinction between the confirmed change of lead couple and the precise events viewers should expect. While Dean and Allie's relationship is central to The Score, the television adaptation has not committed publicly to reproducing every major development from the novel.

For audiences hoping to revisit Briar University before the new season arrives, all eight episodes of Off Campus Season 1 are currently available on Prime Video.
