Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson Returns to Shop He Used to Steal from as a Kid to ‘Right the Wrong’

Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has once again proven himself to be one of the best guys in Hollywood.

The former wrestler and actor returned back to an old store where he used to steal Snickers bars from when he was younger to make up for his old bad behavior. The Jumanji star rocked up to the 7-Eleven shop in Hawaii to “right the wrong” of his past behavior.

“I have been waiting decades to do what I’m getting ready to do now,” the fifty-year-old explained. “When I was fourteen years old, every day I used to stop here at this 7-Eleven and steal a king sized Snicker bar, because I couldn’t afford to buy one.”

“That was my pre-workout food,” he said.”I did that for almost a year every day.”

Johnson said that he “had to come back and buy every Snickers bar on those shelves” in order to make up for his past missteps. So, he goes and buys every single Snickers bar on the shelves, and instructs the clerk to “ring all these up”.

The star then leaves them on the counter, instructing the employee to offer them up to customers who look like they might be stealing Snickers, so that they don’t have to.

The Black Adam actor even goes one step further, and offers to buy everyone in the store’s shop. In total, it comes to $298, but the Moana actor adds a tip to the employees behind the counter too.

In the caption of the post, he explains the reason for his generosity.

“We were evicted from Hawaii in ‘87 and after all these years – I finally got back home to right this wrong.”

“The same clerk was there every day and always just turned her head and never busted me,” he explained.

“I’ve exercised a few big demons over the years,” he continued, “so I know this one seems VERY SILLY, but every time I come back home to Hawaii and drive by 7-11…
I always knew I needed to go in and clean out every Snickers bar they had – the right way.”

“And as a bonus it was a lot of fun to take care of everybody who walked into 7-11 while I was there.

“Least I could do considering all the shit I used to steal from here.”

He concluded: “We can’t change the past and some of the dumb stuff we may have done, but every once in a while we can add a little redeeming grace note to that situation — and maybe put a big smile on some stranger’s faces.”

Unsurprisingly, the Rock’s kind gesture won the hearts of many fans, who took to the comment section to praise the star.

One person wrote: “That’s what it’s about! Fixing the things we might have broke! Legendary stories!”

Another said: “What an awesome gesture!”

Even 7-Eleven’s social media team chimed in: “well now that I know ur pre workout secret, I’m bout to be 💪😤.”

Commenters also found appreciation for a woman in the background of one shot who the star offers a picture to.

“I gotta go. The Rock is here,” she can be heard saying into the phone.

“She knows her priorities,” one commenter wrote.

Another called it the “best line in this clip”.
