People Only Just Finding Out The Lyrics To Lady Gaga’s Poker Face Are Really Rude

We have all heard Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’, whether that be just out and about on the radio, or if it’s one of your on-repeat hype songs — it’s pretty unavoidable. However, there are some things about the song that people are only just finding out, and it’s blowing all our minds.

Some of you may be thinking the song is obviously rude, and that is true. There are some lyrics that hit you with it right on the nose, such as:

“Russian roulette is not the same without a gun / And baby, when it’s love, if it’s not rough, it isn’t fun.”

However, it’s not these obvious lyrics that fans are only just discovering, but in fact something in the chorus that we have all been singing for years!

Lady Gaga rocked onto the pop scene way back in 2008 after years of trying to break through. Her first album The Fame saw phenomenal success, with its first 2 lead singles ‘Just Dance’ and the aforementioned ‘Poker Face’ hitting number 1 in not just America, but also the UK, Australia and Canada.

The star has gone from strength to strength, with hit songs such as ‘Bad Romance’, ‘Born This Way’ and ‘Applause’ all finding chart success. She even went on to do a collaborative album with jazz legend Tony Bennett called Cheek to Cheek.

Aside from her musical prowess, Gaga is known for her rather wacky style. From the meat dress to her firework bra, the star is no stranger to a wardrobe stunt. However, she surprised fans with her more toned back looks during her Joanna album era, and her subsequent success in A Star Is Born. She even nabbed an Oscar for the latter, thanks to the movie’s smash hit song ‘Shallow’.

Despite all this, it is only now that people are realizing that the thirty-six-year-old musician’s second ever single was totally inappropriate for radio play.

Gaga has even said this herself, when she admitted on stage that she only knew of one radio station that correctly censored it.

“KIIS FM is the smartest radio station in the whole world and I’ll tell you why.

“Because this song, it got played all over the world on tens of thousands of radio stations, but KIIS FM was the only one that said I had to censor my lyric because they thought I might be saying something bad.

“And out of all the radio stations in the world that played this record over and over, KIIS FM was the only one that was right and caught on.”

The tune we have all been singing this time goes something like this:

“Po-po-po-poker face, po-po-po-poker face (Mum-mum-mum-mah).”

But it turns out this wasn’t what Gaga was singing fourteen years ago at all. In fact, she sings this:

“Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah),

Po-po-po-poker face, fu-fu-f*** her face (Mum-mum-mum-mah).”

Fans have responded to the revelation by taking to social media to share their thoughts.

One person joked: “Well my Flabber has never been so Gasted…”

A second said: “I thought it was butt **** her face so this isn’t nearly as rude as I thought it was.”

“It’s catchy, sing it however you want. Far worse lyrics out there,” another person said.
