A seat filler that was sat next to Ben Affleck during the Grammys has revealed what the pair were really talking about before they became a viral meme on the internet.

As you may already know, the pair quickly became the main topic of conversation online after multiple videos were shared of their apparent spat, as well as Affleck appearing out of sorts.

Affleck and Lopez wed last year, over twenty years after they split up, and it appeared that they had finally achieved their fairytale romance.

In a recent interview with Today, Jennifer expressed nothing but joy for her new spouse and life, calling 2022 her “best year” since the birth of her children. She added: “It’s been, like, a really kind of emotional transition, but at the same time all your dreams coming true.”

However, things haven’t been going as smoothly for the pair as she’s letting on. They have been spotted numerous times squabbling about one thing or another. But their most recent spat, which has since gone viral, has led people to believe their relationship isn’t all sunshine and rainbows.

In the clip, Jennifer turns her head and sharply addresses Ben after the actor can be seen bending down to whisper something in her ear.

While we can’t make out what the pair are talking about, a lip reader for the Daily Mail claims J Lo said: “Stop. Look more friendly. Look motivated.”

They went on to say that Affleck replied with: “I might.”

Their awkward interaction quickly became a meme, with Twitter users jumping on the drama online.

Many were trying to figure out what the singer was saying to Affleck.

One person wrote: “I’d pay for an alternate Grammy broadcast that’s just a livestream of Ben Affleck and J. Lo’s table.”

While a second said: “Cracking UP that this was Ben Affleck’s reaction to being at Jennifer Lopez’s side at the #Grammys watching Stevie Wonder and Chris Stapleton tear the roof off the place with their rendition of Higher Ground. He looks like someone just told him his dog died, come on man.”

“Ben Affleck at the Grammys is me any time I have to be on a Zoom call,” a third commented.

However, a seat filler that was sat next to Affleck during the event has opened up about what the pair were really talking about all night.

@almostanna posted a TikTok video opening up about the night, she said: “I sat next to Ben Affleck at the Grammys. Me and my seat filler friend Jake and Ben Affleck was right there.

“I was next to them for a good bit, that was my favourite seat because I was right in front of Beyonce… So I didn’t know the meme about Ben Affleck being upset at awards shows, like I didn’t know that was a thing, and we also didn’t talk to them because Ben Affleck didn’t look happy so I didn’t want to talk to him and be like, ‘Oh my God, Good Will Hunting is one of my favourite movies! You’re my hero!’”

She went on: “I was just so lucky to be next to them! The whole time they were cute and s**t… JLo showed Ben Affleck the phone and was like, ‘Oh my God, honey, look at this meme circulating about you!’ And he was like, ‘Oh God, this again’. Like, he knew during the performance that he was a meme!

“So I know that she was like on her phone and saw it and was like, “Honey, this is so funny, look at this.” And he was like, “Jesus Christ.”

It appears the 2 are both very much in love, she added: “They were super lovey-dovey like their hands were always intertwined. I don’t know how to describe it.

“But they just were! So it wasn’t like, “Oh my God, this is going to lead to divorce!” Like, they were cute!’”
